You will have an opportunity to change your selections during your course confirmation session if required.

We highly recommend that you make use of the careers, pathways and course counselling supports at your current school to help you choose the best subjects for your VCE. We will confirm your selections at the course confirmation session.

YEAR 11 VOCATIONAL MAJOR

Vocational Major has a set of core and elective subjects which includes:

[LITERACY, NUMERACY, PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT SKILLS, WORK RELATED SKILLS].

However, If you want to do a VCE subject inline with your Vocational Major program you can switch some of the subjects below.

RULES: YOU CANNOT CHOOSE 2 SUBJECTS FROM THE SAME STUDY DESIGN. THIS MEANS YOU CAN’T CHOOSE ART MAKING & EXHIBITING (PRINTMAKING) AND ART MAKING & EXHIBITING (PHOTOGRAPHY).

IMPORTANT VET INFORMATION

Vocational Major students must enrol in a VET subject as part of their program in order to satisfy the requirements of the VM certificate. VCE students can choose to enrol in a VET subject as part of their VCE program.

VCE/VM Enrolments – If you are planning to do a VET subject in 2025, you MUST enrol in this through your CURRENT SCHOOL. Places in VET are limited so early enrolment is key to securing your position in your preferred VET course. If you are offered an enrolment at Swinburne Senior SC, we will then transfer your VET enrolment to our school.

DO NOT wait until your enrolment with us is confirmed to enrol in VET or you are likely to miss out on a place.
