Congratulations Seb, Marc, and Leo!
Swinburne Senior had their second DAV debate last night at Scotch College. It was a close match, with Swinburne coming second to Scotch by three out of 300 points.
Swinburne’s task was to argue that those who use sweatshops should be criminally prosecuted. The adjudicator said our research and ideas were outstanding, and that we did an excellent job of demonstrating the problem with sweatshops. The next step was to build a stronger case as to why prosecution would be an effective solution.
Student Voice Manager Meiki Apted was impressed by the calibre of the debate. “Leo, Marc and Sebastian have done an absolutely outstanding job. Their professionalism, maturity, and intelligence just shone.” #debating
