Another tantalisingly close finish! Swinburne SRC debate team members Bianca, Laura and Marc debated against Scotch College in a lecture theatre, with parents, grandparents, and teachers looking on (they sat in the back row so they’re not in the photo!). We came second by 4 points out of 300, and the adjudicator described it as an extremely high quality and rigorous debate. Marc, Bianca and Laura spoke decisively, with impressive confidence and clarity. The next step is to build a more comprehensive model and to unpack the opposition’s arguments in more detail. Congratulations debating team! With the leadership of Marc, and the support of Meiki, they’re getting better and better every time.
